Abstract

Abstract: The present research is entitled: Academic preferences of law students and their link with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the study of judgments; the general objective is to identify the factors that influence law graduates of the UTPL when choosing legal areas of specialization, through the study of the judgment No. 1571-15- EP/20, which evidenced violations to rights such as legal certainty, defense and effective judicial protection, for lack of proper notice in a claim trial, thus energizing the violation of rights such as legal security, defense and effective judicial protection, due to the lack of proper notice in a claim trial, thus energizing the violation of rights such as legal security, defense and effective judicial protection, through the study of the judgment No. 1571-15- EP/20. 1571-15-EP/20, which evidenced violations to rights such as legal security, defense and effective judicial protection, due to lack of adequate notice in a claim trial, thus energizing the relationship between Civil Law and SDG 16; the methodology used is the bibliographic and the technique of the file; this study is made up of chapters comprising the theoretical framework, results, discussion, conclusions and recommendations; the most relevant conclusion partially confirms the research hypothesis: adequate procedural norms exist, but their enforcement is deficient; which reveals the urgent need to strengthen legal training and efficient judicial proceedings to ensure quality justice, aligned with the goals of SDG 16.
