Abstract: Abstract:This research project focuses on the analysis of Labor Law and the importance of linking the selected ruling No. 593-15-EP/21 of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador with the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS). This research project was conducted in Manta. This analysis allows for the identification of rights violations that violate ODS 5, related to gender equality. The research is based on the application of various methods and techniques to ensure a rigorous analysis. A systematic approach was used to organize information sequentially, using theoretical and deductive methods, reviewing regulations and jurisprudence with a socio-legal approach. Furthermore, the analysis and synthesis of the ruling, along with the exegetic method, allowed for the interpretation of relevant legal facts in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals. The research was exploratory in nature, having analyzed previous legal approaches. It even included the use of data collection for the study of the ruling, including exhaustive online research to gather essential information for the development of the work, such as: legal data, concepts, elements, characteristics, background, and progress in its implementation. The solutions proposed in the ruling, where judges adopt measures to resolve the case, are also included. The research demonstrates that existing public policies persist with significant gaps in compliance with the ODS, especially focusing on number five. Furthermore, it demonstrates the need for States to make efforts to achieve compliance with the 2030 Agenda, the effective promotion of equal rights. Finally, the research work is based on the study of the ruling, which has been useful to identify the fifth goal that was violated. In the case of a pregnant woman who is unilaterally terminated from her employment contract, the violated rights were identified. This will be useful as a legal.
