Abstract

Abstract:This work contributes by showing the importance of law graduates from the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja acquiring skills with an emphasis on the global in order to face legal problems of great complexity. For this purpose, the holistic integration between the subject of Human Rights with Sustainable Development Goal No. 16 is essential, which advocates for peace, justice and strong institutions, which at the same time is linked to the study of a specific case through a judgment issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights whose Judgment Series C No. 493 of the Meza vs. Ecuador case addresses the violation of human rights enshrined in the American Convention, which determined the responsibility of the Ecuadorian state for not providing or executing guarantees of the right to access to justice and for the violation of rights such as effective judicial protection and violation of guarantees inherent to judicial processes. This ruling is related to SDG 16 because it promotes just, peaceful and inclusive societies.
