Abstract: In the study of Law, one of the most important tools that allows for the understanding of the interpretation of the Law is the study of judgments. In this work, we will analyze the judgment of Extraordinary Action for Protection No. 168-19-EP/21, issued by the Constitutional Court, and its relationship with Sustainable Development Goal No. 16, which addresses Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. This will allow us to delve deeper in an analytical, critical, and profound way to understand how jurisprudence provides criteria and principles to shape the legal system. We will study how the Constitutional Court interprets and applies the laws with the objective of resolving legal conflicts, issuing rulings that are relevant for similar future cases. We will analyze in detail the key facts of the case, the legal reasoning of the court, and evaluate whether the court's decision respects current legal regulations and whether the legal reasoning of the judgment is compatible with the Goal. of Sustainable Development No. 16, that is, if the sentence granted promotes justice without violating any rights.
