Estrategia de educación sobre la Ley orgánica de protección de datos y la Ley de derecho y amparo del paciente, en el Centro de Salud Sozoranga, 2025

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study was to analyze the level of knowledge among the medical staff as well as the patients from the Sozoranga Health Centre, in rewards of the Organic Law of Personal Data Protection and the Law of Patient Rights and Protection in 2025, with the means of designing an strategy for intervention oriented to strengthen the respect and fulfillment of this laws in the sanitary setting. With this intentions, a descriptive, quantitative, observational, cross-sectional study was done, which sample was conformed of 12 functionaries from the Sozoranga Health Centre and 112 randomly picked patients that assisted to get medical attention in the same establishment. The data was obtained through the application of electronic surveys, one made for the patients, and another meant for the working staff inside the Sozoranga Health Centre. The results show that the bigger percentage of the studied patients have a low level of knowledge regarding the Organic Law of Personal Data Protection and the Law of Patient Rights and Protection, with a 41%; meanwhile the results from the medical staff show that 50% have a medium level knowledge on these laws. Based on the results from this study, the need of designing an educational strategy to teach and raise sensibility is suggested, as much for the patients from the health center as it is for the staff, with the means to assure an optimal execution of the rights of the patients, getting to a more respectful and humanitarian medical attention.
