Puzzle: Análisis del uso de tecnología de inteligencia artificial en las actividades académicas de las instituciones universitarias del Ecuador: Caso Universidad del Azuay (UDA)

Abstract

Abstract: This document aims to answer the question; Does the use of technology affect the academic success of university students? This will be achieved through the analysis of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) during the training process of university students. Higher education institutions use technology in their teaching activities, whose use, including AI, generates patterns and customs in students, these customs often determine effectiveness and academic success or failure. The above reinforces the need to analyze these patterns in order to make the most of the resources of both students and educational institutions. This work aims to analyze the way in which students use technology and AI tools, describing usage patterns, searching for cause-effect relationships. The CRISP-DM methodology will be applied, which is a method to address data mining processes. Therefore, the work consists of collecting data regarding the use of the Internet and AI tools, to later apply Clustering to perform grouping and determine usage patterns.
