| Abstract: | Abstract: This thesis focuses on the analysis and study of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. This goal has been reviewed in light of current legal regulations regarding the rights to life, personal integrity, education, and health. The case of Gonzales Lluy et al. vs. Ecuador concludes with the ruling issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR) in favor of the victims, holding the Ecuadorian State responsible for the violation of the aforementioned rights. The ruling has garnered special attention because, for the first time, the IACHR alleges intersectional discrimination due to the fact that the case is associated with several factors. Thus, this research allows graduates to discover their preference for a specific area of law and to pursue a specialization, considering that jurisprudence must guarantee the comprehensive protection of victims, associating the law with human rights. |
| Description: | Resumen: El presente trabajo de titulación se centra en el análisis y estudio de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), específicamente en el objetivo 16 paz, justicia e instituciones sólidas, mismo que ha sido revisado a la luz de la normativa jurídica vigente en relación con el derecho a la vida, la integridad personal, la educación, la salud. El Caso Gonzáles Lluy y Otros vs. Ecuador llega a su fin con la sentencia emitida por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) con el fallo a favor de las víctimas, responsabilizando al Estado Ecuatoriano por la violación de los derechos antes mencionados. La sentencia ha concitado especial atención; pues, por primera vez la CIDH, aduce una discriminación interseccional debido a que el caso está asociado a varios factores. Siendo así, esta investigación permite al egresado descubrir su preferencia por un área específica del derecho y a propender a una especialización, considerando que la jurisprudencia debe garantizar la protección integral de las víctimas, asociando el derecho a los derechos humanos. |
