Abstract

Abstract: In this research is analyzed the Sustainable Development Goal no. 16 which includes rights such as peace, justice and the right to the existence of solid institutions that guarantee the rights of all people, and allow the construction of democratic, inclusive, diverse and respectful societies of the human rights of all people without distinction or discrimination. In relation to this objective, the relevant doctrinal and normative references are determined, and then their effectiveness is analyzed through the detailed analysis of a ruling of the Constitutional Court through which it was possible to identify the way in which said body contributes to the realization of the SDG. No. 16. This is JUDGMENT No. 262-16-SEP-CC17 of August 2016, where the plaintiff alleged the violation of his rights to work, fair remuneration, social security and equal opportunities, in addition of the right to legal certainty. After carrying out all the analysis, it was concluded that the aforementioned ruling is a mechanism to achieve SDG no. 16, but that other State actions are required to fully achieve it. Based on this, recommendations are presented.
