Uso de GeoGebra en el aprendizaje de las figuras geométricas planas y el cálculo de sus áreas en los estudiantes de 1ro de bachillerato

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted at the Cariamanga Educational Unit in the Calvas canton of Loja province, entitled Use of GeoGebra in learning flat geometric figures and calculating their areas in first-year high school students at the Cariamanga Educational Unit. This study was conducted using a mixed methodology, employing both quantitative and qualitative approaches, based on a quasi-experimental design. The instruments used were observation and a questionnaire designed and structured with Likert-type questions as a tool for collecting data created in accordance with the research objectives validated by experts in the field of mathematics, where two groups of 30 students were formed, one to apply the pretest and the other for the posttest. Therefore, the scientific method was used together with the analytical method to obtain results that showed that the use of GeoGebra helped students to more easily understand the formulas for calculating areas in flat geometric figures.
