La violencia en niños, niñas y adolescentes en el cantón Loja: análisis cuantitativo de las denuncias registradas en el periodo 2021-2023

Abstract

Abstract: Violence against children and adolescents has become a phenomenon of high concern due to the severity of its consequences for them, violating their rights, their lives, their integrity, and their opportunity to live full and healthy lives. Considering the preliminary findings, this research delved into the quantitative analysis of the reports filed for cases of violence against children and adolescents in the canton of Loja during the period 2021-2023. The study was characterized by collecting and systematizing data provided by the Council of the Judiciary, organized for statistical analysis. The results obtained show that sexual violence presented the highest number of cases compared to other types of violence, with crimes against sexual and reproductive integrity standing out in 2021. It is concluded that child violence in Loja constitutes a national problem with differentiated impacts depending on social contexts, therefore the information obtained represents the formulation of key strategies for the prevention and comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.
