Abstract

Abstract: This research analyzes the impact of using PHET as a virtual laboratory on the pedagogical management of natural science teachers at the Adolfo Valarezo Educational Unit during the first quarter of the 2025-2026 school year. The objective of the research was to describe the level of knowledge, use, and perception of the PHET program as a pedagogical innovation tool and its contribution to strengthening teaching practice. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a descriptive scope and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 30 teachers from General Basic Education and General Unified Baccalaureate, selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. A survey was used as the data collection technique, and a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale, validated by expert judgment, was used as the instrument. The results show a positive perception and a proportionate level of use of the PHET simulator, highlighting its contribution to the understanding of phenomena. It is concluded that PHET is an effective innovation tool for strengthening teacher management in the area of Natural Sciences.
