Abstract: The pharmaceutical company FARMACOLOGÍSTICA CIA. LTDA. is experiencing difficulties optimizing its transportation routes, as it lacks the necessary strategies to improve current operational efficiency. The methodology employed was based on the use of Google Maps for an initial diagnosis of the company's current routes, along with surveys, interviews, and direct observation to identify deficiencies in these routes and develop a proposed solution. This solution was based on strategies linked to the use of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) to optimize the routes, thereby minimizing costs and improving delivery times. The results show that the four current routes used by the company have serious deficiencies, including long journeys and extended travel times. Deficiencies were identified at the route level, as technological tools and precise actions are not being used. The proposed solution includes strategies supported by QGIS that help improve delivery times and reduce costs on the four routes analyzed. It is concluded that it is important for the company to implement the proposed plan in order to improve the deficiencies detected.
