Abstract: This work stems from a profound reflection on the importance of motivation in judicial decisions and their real impact on people's lives. It analyzes court rulings, taking as a reference case No. 09209-2024-04478, a divorce based on the grounds of unjustified abandonment. Using Manuel Atienza's "Being" method, it examines how the decision is grounded from three fundamental dimensions: the facts proven in the proceedings, the correct application of the law, and the constitutional principles that underpin the ruling. The methodology employed includes a thorough review of the case file, comparison with relevant legal doctrine and jurisprudence, and the application of reasonableness criteria. Aspects such as the evaluation of evidence, the subsumption of facts, and respect for the fundamental rights of the parties are considered. The investigation demonstrates that a well-reasoned judgment not only formally complies with the law, but also conveys justice, trust, and humanity to those who turn to the judicial system to resolve their conflicts. Judicial reasoning is the essential bridge that connects legal rationale with social sensitivity, guaranteeing legitimacy and transparency in the administration of justice.
