Abstract

Abstract: This study evaluates the feasibility of creating a sustainable tourist route in Chantaco Parish, focusing on community participation and local development. Using the Delphi method, experts in tourism, community development, and sustainability were consulted through interviews and questionnaires. The analysis revealed a high consensus on the project's viability, identifying unique tourist attractions and strategies to involve the local community. The need to improve infrastructure, develop a comprehensive marketing strategy, and train the community in tourism skills was highlighted. The study concludes that the tourist route is viable and can significantly contribute to the region's sustainable development. A participatory approach in planning and implementation is recommended, integrating sustainable tourism practices. This work provides a basis for local tourism policies and can serve as a model for similar projects in other rural communities.
