| Abstract: | Abstract: The design of educational spaces includes creating environmental conditions conducive to learning, taking into account the extended time spent in these spaces. An architectural survey was conducted, and environmental parameters were recorded. A study of thermal comfort was carried out at the Mater Dei Educational Unit, along with the thermal perceptions reported by students and teachers. This revealed that the limited natural ventilation contributes to a critical accumulation of CO2. Therefore, given the favorable characteristics of the context, a set of strategies is proposed to significantly optimize the use of openings as passive ventilation pathways and improve indoor air quality without requiring a complete restructuring of the space. |
| Description: | Resumen: El diseño de espacios educativos contempla el diseño de condiciones ambientales para el aprendizaje en función del tiempo prolongado de los espacios educativos. Se llevó a cabo un levantamiento arquitectónico y se registraron los parámetros ambientales realizando un estudio del confort térmico en la Unidad Educativa Mater Dei, además de la percepción térmica referida por los alumnos, que permitieron evidenciar que la escasa ventilación natural favorece la acumulación crítica de CO2. En este sentido se propone un conjunto de estrategias que optimicen de forma importante el uso de las aberturas como caminos de ventilación pasiva y que favorezcan el aire interior sin necesidad de plantear una reestructuración del espacio. |
