Abstract

Abstract: This paper explored four key aspects of law. First, it discussed the digitization of the judicial system as a response to the need to maintain the administration of justice during the health crisis, highlighting its benefits in terms of accessibility and efficiency, but also pointing out challenges related to equity and technological access. Second, it examined public policies in Ecuador in relation to the SDGs, underscoring significant progress in areas such as health, gender equality, and justice, but acknowledging the persistence of challenges in effective implementation. Third, it analyzed innovations and trends in criminal law, highlighting how the pandemic accelerated normative and practical changes, especially in situations of health and labor emergencies. Finally, it addressed personal perceptions of the impact of judicial rulings, focusing on the importance of legitimacy, transparency, and equity in judicial decisions to strengthen the rule of law. From my perspective, these topics are not only academically relevant, but also crucial for understanding how law can adapt and respond effectively to contemporary challenges, thus contributing to a more just and resilient society.
