Abstract

Abstract: The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were developed by the United Nations in 2015 as a global call to action to end society's greatest problems, such as eradicating poverty, protecting the environment, and ensuring that by 2030 all human beings can enjoy peace and prosperity. This paper refers to the doctrine on the rights protected by Sustainable Development Goal 16, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. This goal seeks to reduce corruption in some public and private institutions and create effective and transparent institutions. One of the biggest problems in our country is corruption. Several state bodies, including judicial institutions, have been infected. As a consequence, there are cases where fair justice is not applied. Therefore, it is important to "immunize" the institutions and implement the SDGs. The specific objective of SDG 16 is to strengthen institutions, guarantee public access to information, protect freedom of expression, and significantly reduce corruption.
