Abstract: This study analyzes the scope of Constitutional Court Judgment 1791-22-EP/25, focusing on the development of the principle of legal certainty as a limit on judicial arbitrariness and its importance in safeguarding due process and the stability of the legal system. The analysis employs a legal-doctrinal approach grounded in *garantismo* (legal guarantees) and neo-constitutionalism, complemented by a study of both domestic and international case law. Furthermore, it offers a critical analysis of the evolution of jurisprudence regarding the requirement to provide reasons for decisions (*motivación*), legal certainty, and the control of arbitrariness, identifying a line of precedent that culminates in the judgment under review. The ruling's *ratio decidendi* is examined and contrasted with legal doctrine and comparative standards; the study concludes that the judgment consolidates legal certainty as a substantive limit on the exercise of judicial authority through standards that strengthen judicial reasoning, due process, and constitutional oversight, thereby preserving effective judicial protection and judicial independence itself.es_ES
