Abstract: In this study, I analyze the judgment in labor case No. 17233-2023-XXXXX to question whether the judicial reasoning truly meets due process standards in Ecuador. Using a qualitative approach and document analysis, I examine how the judge presents the facts, frames the legal issue, and constructs the argument. My research reveals that, while the judgment follows a correct formal structure, it is flawed regarding the sufficiency and clarity of its arguments. I therefore conclude that the statement of reasons is not a mere formality, but an essential guarantee that legitimizes the justice system. With this work, I offer a critical perspective on the quality of our labor court judgments, emphasizing the need for legal reasoning that genuinely protects the parties' rights.es_ES
