| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: My thesis examines the friendly settlement ratified by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the case of *Huacón Baidal and Others v. Ecuador* (Series C No. 466, October 4, 2022), highlighting its significance within the framework of international human rights protection. The analysis demonstrates how the friendly settlement serves as an effective mechanism for acknowledging state responsibility, providing comprehensive reparation to victims, and strengthening trust in justice systems. From this perspective, the research underscores the value of human rights as a fundamental pillar for ensuring the dignity and security of individuals, as well as the need to promote processes centered on dialogue, reconciliation, and non-repetition. Furthermore, the study examines the case's relationship with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, which aims to establish strong, transparent, and accessible institutions while guaranteeing justice for all. The State's actions in accepting responsibility and adopting reparatory measures align with the principles of the rule of law and the international commitment to fostering more just and peaceful societies. | es_ES |
