| Abstract: | Abstract: The objective of this study was to analyze university faculty members perceptions and experiences regarding digital violence, identifying strategies that contribute to its prevention and management. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach, with descriptive-interpretive design and participatory action research. The sample consisted of 11 faculty members from a private higher education institution in the city of Loja, selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected through a focus group, and the data were analyzed using thematic content analysis with the support of ATLAS.ti software. The results showed that digital violence is related to technological, personal, academic, and institutional factors, affecting the socio-emotional well-being, workplace relationships, and professional performance of faculty members. Furthermore, the study identified the need to strengthen digital and emotional literacy, implement institutional protocols, promote educational mediation, and provide psycho-pedagogical support. It is concluded that the prevention of digital violence requires a comprehensive institutional commitment aimed at ensuring safe, respectful, and healthy university environments. |
| Description: | Resumen: La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar las percepciones y experiencias de los docentes universitarios frente a la violencia digital, identificando estrategias que contribuyan a su prevención y manejo. Se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cualitativo, con diseño descriptivo-interpretativo e investigación acción-participativa. La muestra estuvo conformada por 11 docentes de una institución de educación superior particular de la ciudad de Loja, seleccionados mediante muestreo intencional. Para la recolección de información se desarrolló un grupo focal, los datos recolectados fueron examinados mediante análisis de contenido temático con apoyo del software ATLAS.ti. Los resultados evidenciaron que la violencia digital está relacionada con factores tecnológicos, personales, académicos e institucionales, afectando el bienestar socioemocional, la convivencia y el desempeño profesional del profesorado. Asimismo, se identificó la necesidad de fortalecer la alfabetización digital y emocional, implementar protocolos institucionales, promover la mediación educativa y brindar acompañamiento psicopedagógico. Se concluye que la prevención de la violencia digital requiere un compromiso institucional integral orientado a garantizar entornos universitarios seguros, respetuosos y saludables. |
