Abstract: Abstract: Motorized driving demands sustained attention, -emotional regulation, -and quick decisions; -therefore, driving styles, -mental health, -and alcohol consumption are associated with road behavior and driver well-being. -This research aimed to evaluate driving styles and mental health in motorized drivers in Quito during 2025. -A quantitative, -non-experimental, -cross-sectional, -and descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 56 motorized drivers. -The Multidimensional Driving Style Inventory (MDSI), -the Goldberg General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28), -and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) were administered. -The results showed a predominance of adaptive driving styles, -mainly cautious and stress-reducing; -among maladaptive styles, -reckless driving registered the highest mean. -In terms of mental health, somatic symptoms and anxiety/insomnia obtained the highest relative scores, with no high indicators of psychological distress. Regarding alcohol consumption, most participants were either abstinent or at low risk. The results show mostly prudent driving and mild signs of physical and emotional stress, which are useful for road safety.
