Abstract: Abstract: The objective of this study was to determine driving styles, mental health, and alcohol consumption in a sample of motorized drivers from the Santa Elena canton during the year 2025-2026. For this purpose, a sample of 63 drivers from a public institution in the canton was used. The research was approached with a quantitative perspective of descriptive scope and cross-sectional design. The data were collected using a sociodemographic questionnaire designed for the study, the Multidimensional Driving Style Inventory (MDSI), the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28), and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT). The results indicate that higher scores are obtained in adaptive driving styles compared to maladaptive ones, and that the cautious style was the most predominant among the participants. In the mental health assessment, the dimension between anxiety and insomnia received the highest scores, while depression showed the lowest scores. Regarding alcohol consumption, most drivers fell into the category of abstainers or low-risk consumers. These results allow for the description of the population with the variables under study and provide information on driving style, mental health status, and alcohol consumption among drivers.
