Abstract: The objective of this study was to assess driving styles and mental health among motorized drivers in the northern sector of the city of Quito during 2025. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive design. The sample consisted of 30 drivers holding valid driver's licenses. Data were collected through a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Multidimensional Driving Style Inventory (MDSI), the Goldberg General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28), and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT). The results revealed a predominance of adaptive driving styles, particularly the careful driving style, reflecting behaviors associated with safer driving practices. Regarding mental health, higher levels of anxiety and insomnia were identified, followed by social dysfunction and somatic symptoms, while depression showed lower scores. Concerning alcohol consumption, most participants were classified in the abstinence category. It is concluded that drivers generally maintain safe driving practices; however, certain aspects were identified that require preventive attention.es_ES
