Evaluación de riesgos laborales en la empresa Lubricentro

Abstract

Abstract: The study aimed to assess occupational risks at a lubrication center in the city of Loja using the methodology of the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST). A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional descriptive field study design was employed. The establishment's three workers constituted the study population, and a census was conducted using direct observation, interviews, and risk identification and assessment matrices. Seven processes were analyzed: vehicle reception, engine oil changes, transmission and differential lubricant changes, lubrication and greasing, interior and exterior washing, customer service and billing, and supply storage. A total of 81 risks were identified 34 trivial, 21 tolerable, 17 moderate, and 9 significant with no intolerable risks found. Mechanical, ergonomic, and chemical factors were the most prevalent. Based on the results, a proposal for general and specific preventive measures was developed, prioritizing engineering controls, administrative measures, training, housekeeping (order and cleanliness), safe storage, and the use of personal protective equipment. Implementing these measures will help reduce occupational accidents and illnesses and strengthen the lubrication center's preventive management.
