| Abstract: | Abstract: This research examines the Abraham Cu Au porphyry system, located in the Los Ceibos prospect in southern Ecuador. The study uses geological, structural, and geochemical information from 53 diamond drill holes to evaluate veinlet development and lithogeochemical variations within the system. Core logging allowed eight veinlet types to be differentiated and their relative paragenetic sequence to be defined. Among the veinlet generations analyzed, A-type veinlets showed the most consistent relationship with Cu, with Spearman coefficients of 0.52 for frequency and 0.51 for intensity. They also showed greater spatial continuity than B-type veinlets. Lithogeochemical characterization was based on Al/Ti, Nb/Ti, Sc/Y, and Zr/Ti ratios. These ratios helped differentiate the main lithological units, although some overlap was observed between their compositional ranges. The V/Sc ratio was also evaluated, but the results showed limited potential for its use as a direct indicator of Cu Au mineralization. Based on these results, veinlet characteristics and lithogeochemistry are considered complementary tools for interpreting the geological distribution of the Abraham system and supporting exploration vectoring. |
