Diseño e implementación de un servicio seguro con GraphQL para la centralización de códigos internacionales (HS-Codes, IATA, UNLOCODE)

Abstract

Abstract: Postal and logistics processes use different international codes, such as HS Codes, IATA, and UN/LOCODE, whose information is usually distributed across different sources. This can make consultation difficult when these data need to be used from the same system. For this reason, this work designed and implemented a GraphQL-based service that allows these codes to be centralized and consulted securely. The solution was developed using .NET 8, SQL Server 2022, and GraphQL, including authentication and authorization mechanisms to control access to the service. In addition, queries and search mechanisms were developed to facilitate access to the stored information. Once the solution was implemented, functional tests were performed to verify the operation of the queries, as well as performance tests using k6 to evaluate its behavior under concurrent requests. The results showed that the solution meets the proposed functionalities and provides a centralized mechanism for consulting information that can be used in postal and logistics processes.
