Abstract: Abstract: This study provides a legal analysis of the reasoning behind the judgment issued in case No. 10282-2021-00203, which concerned a challenge to a traffic citation for an offense defined in Article 391, numeral 11, of the Comprehensive Organic Penal Code. The study focuses on assessing whether the judicial decision meets the constitutional standards for reasoning required by Article 76, numeral 7, letter (l) of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador. Based on an examination of the facts, the evidence presented at the hearing, and the legal grounds set forth by the judge, the coherence, sufficiency, and reasonableness of the arguments used in the judgment are analyzed. The work offers a critical reflection on the application of due process principles, the assessment of evidence, and the penal guarantee framework, highlighting the importance of clear and well-founded reasoning as a safeguard for the right to effective judicial protection and legal certainty.
