Estudio del estado actual de las principales fuentes abastecedoras de agua para consumo humano en las cabeceras parroquiales del cantón Quilanga

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this work was to know the current state of the principal water supplying sources and update the information of each of the micro-watersheds that supply the parishes of the canton Quilanga. For this purpose an environmental diagnosis was done. To support the findings, it was considered the following: analysis the water quality, evaluation of the current usage of the soil, and estimation of offer and water demand. The laboratory results show that in all cases exist the presence of coliforms, which make the water not suitable for human consumption. Also, it was found that the main threat for the soil is the livestock. In San Antonio, it was found a problem with the water supply in both summer and winter seasons. With these results, it was proposed an integral managing of the micro-watersheds of water. These results update the existing information about the micro-watershed suppliers in Quilanga and the surrender áreas.
