Abstract

This research entitled "The reasons for the melancholy present in the verses of Medardo Ángel Silva" has as an object, try to understand the great poet from the depths of his being, since the poems by this author are filled with melancholy and pain, there is a need to know the background of inspiration and the malaise that seemed to have when he wrote. This research work encompasses a critique on the poems of Medardo Ángel Silva, for which explores in his works, especially in one of his poems, is delves into poems that deal with death, nostalgia and pain; always looking for clues. This thesis aims to unravel the mystery of aesthetic that the author has, through an intense study, analyzing his compositions from a very human point of view, studying not only poems but her personality and problems that had in their daily living. It also plans to help our society especially to other young people who suddenly are in similar situations, nostalgia, loneliness and lack of understanding.
