| Abstract: | In this research project the physical and mechanical analysis of a traditional adobe adding dosage aloe vera (Aloe Vera) and Opuntia ficus-indica (prickly pear), and abaca fiber reinforcement arises. The additives have the function to retard water ingress making it waterproof and lengthening its life cycle. Fiber acts as a reinforcing element allowing exceed the values of compressive strength, required by the regulations. |
| Description: | En el presente proyecto de investigación se plantea el análisis físico y mecánico de un adobe de dosificación tradicional adicionando aloe vera (Sábila) y opuntia ficus-indica, (nopal), y refuerzo de fibra de abacá. Los aditivos cumplen la función de retardar el ingreso de agua haciéndolo impermeable y alargando su ciclo de vida. La fibra actúa como elemento de refuerzo permitiendo superar los valores de resistencia a la compresión, exigida en la normativa. |
