| Abstract: | n the present investigation an analysis is carried out on the current situation of residential tourism in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, in which the main factors that motivate this new typology of tourism are determined, as well as establishing the positive and negative impacts That causes this recent tourist phenomenon to our surroundings within the economic, social, cultural, and environmental domains. The results of the study of this growing segment of the community of foreigners in the city contribute to the existing literature on the subject and are useful for local actors, society in general; As well as for the providers of tourist and real estate services in the city. |
| Description: | En la presente investigación se desarrolla un análisis sobre la situación actual del turismo residencial en la ciudad de Cuenca - Ecuador, en la cual se determinan los principales factores que motivan a ésta nueva tipología de turismo, además se establece cuáles son los impactos positivos y negativos que causa éste reciente fenómeno turístico a nuestro entorno dentro de los ámbitos: económicos, sociales, culturales, y ambientales. Los resultados del estudio de éste creciente segmento de comunidad de extranjeros en la ciudad aportan a la bibliografía existente sobre el tema y son de utilidad para los actores locales, sociedad en general; así como para los prestadores de servicios turísticos e inmobiliarios de la ciudad. |
