Relación entre el uso problemático de las TIC, el consumo de sustancias y su impacto en la salud mental en estudiantes de primero y segundo año de bachillerato

Abstract

The present research is entitled: "Relationship between problematic use of ICT, substance use and its impact on mental health in first and second year high school students according to a study carried out in the fiscal institutions in zone 9, district 6 And circuit 4; Fiscomisional in zone 9, district 8 and circuit 3 and particular in zone 9, district 17D07 and circuit 17D07C03_04_05 of the city of Quito in the year 2016-2017. The relationship between the variables: distribution of substance use, use of ICT and mental health indicators of the students was analyzed. For this, it was necessary to work with an exploratory research design and descriptive questionnaires that allowed to analyze and interpret each of the variables and to cross them to arrive at the realities of the object of study in its various dimensions. The sample selected was 150 of the three institutions and the main result demonstrated the need for attention by the families to the students and this is reflected both in their emotional instability and behavioral problems.
