Abstract

In the present investigation the textile industry was studied in the province of Cañar, began with the survey of information through the application of surveys to a sample of 182 companies, which allowed to evidence that in the province there is no company with production Industrial scale, however it was observed that there are SMEs dedicated to this activity managed by their owners based on their knowledge inherited from their ancestors. The way to organize and manage your business in a formal way even with the advent of technology and globalization is just beginning to be implemented.

In the companies of the Cañar persists the labor outsourcing with particularities. Tailors and Dressmakers constitute the largest number of companies in the textile sector. It was proposed the merger of three companies dedicated to the manufacture of straw hats toquilla, these are administered by the same manager. They have extensive experience in the manufacture of superfine hats, in exports and maintain fixed assets that make the proposal ostensibly easier.
