Description: The present investigation, “A Descriptive Analysis of Anglicisms in Ecuadorian Magazines”, took place in Quito, capital of Ecuador. The aim of this investigation was to analyze the way that anglicisms are used in Ecuadorian magazines. As a sample, the following magazines were chosen “La Casa”, “Gestion”, “Vistazo” and “Hogar”. The purpose for this study was to investigate the linguistic phenomenon of anglicisms used in Ecuadorian magazines. In order to analyze the data, two methods were used: qualitative and quantitative. The following results were obtained: quantitatively were found 584 anglicisms in all magazines, and qualitatively: in General interest magazines there have been found 287 anglicisms, so these magazines have the majority of anglicisms, followed by Scholarly magazines where were found 207 anglicisms and in the last position with 90 anglicism found are the Cultural magazines.
