| Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to evaluate the professional interests of senior students of the second year of a high school in the city of Loja in order to identify each student’s vocational preferences. Holland (as cite in Martínez y Valls, 2008) proposed the posibility to classify people types for its resemblance to six personality: Realistic (R), Investigative (I), Artistic (A), Social (S), Enterprising (E), and Conventional (C). Taking into account this classification, if a person is more identified with one (s) types, they are more likely to present certain behaviors and traits of personality type The results obtained show that from the surveyed participants, the highest punctuation is associated to the Social type and in the second place to the Enterprising type; these results are not associated to gender distinctions; so that, men and women can choose their career according to their preferences, skills and capabilities. |
| Description: | El objetivo del presente estudio es la evaluación de los intereses profesionales de los estudiantes del segundo año de Bachillerato de un colegio fiscal de la ciudad de Loja, con el fin de identificar cuáles son las preferencias vocacionales de cada alumno. Adicionalmente, se incluyó en la investigación el ámbito sociodemográfico para conocer si esto afecta a los estudiantes en la correcta elección vocacional. Los resultados obtenidos nos indican que de los sujetos encuestados la mayor puntuación pertenecen se encuentra asociada al tipo Social y en segundo lugar al tipo Emprendedor, tomando en cuenta que en el género no se presentan distinciones y tanto hombres como mujeres pueden elegir su carrera de acuerdo a sus gustos, habilidades y capacidades. |
