| Abstract: | This research will analyze the impact of microfinance in the rice sector of the canton of Samborondón compared to the different sources of financing that cover the needs of the activity. To carry out the research, a survey aimed at rice producers was used as the primary source, information provided by the MAGAP; Out of a total of 823 farmers, 262 stratified the sample in two Samborondón and Tarifa parishes, in addition to the associations where they are affiliated and as secondary sources, bibliographic information was used in books, brochures, reports, official websites, among others. The results of the research established that the microcredit has been a great contribution to the agricultural production of the sector. On the other hand, due to the fall in rice prices in recent years, UNA.EP has intervened with the purchase to control price fluctuations; however, it has not been enough for overproduction causing severe losses to the farmer while the price remains below the official price |
| Description: | Esta investigación analizará el impacto que tienen las microfinanzas en el sector arrocero del cantón Samborondón frente a las diferentes fuentes de financiamiento que permitan cubrir las necesidades de la actividad. Para la realización de la investigación se utilizó como fuente primaria, una encuesta dirigida a productores de arroz, información proporcionada por el MAGAP; de un total de 823 agricultores, se aplicó 262 estratificando la muestra en dos parroquias Samborondón y Tarifa, todos los agricultores se encuentran afiliados a diferentes asociaciones y como fuentes secundarias se recurrió a información bibliográficas en libros, folletos, informes, sitios web oficiales entre otros. Los resultados de la investigación establecieron que el microcrédito ha sido de gran aporte para la producción agrícola del sector. Por otro lado debido a la caída de los precios del arroz en los últimos años la UNA.EP ha intervenido con la compra para controlar las fluctuaciones de los precios; sin embargo, no ha sido suficiente por la sobreproducción ocasionando severas pérdidas al agricultor mientras el precio se mantenga por debajo del precio oficial. |
