Abstract: An earthquake of M7.8 happened in Pedernales, Ecuador, at 18:58 on April 16, 2016. This earthquake generated severe damage in the towns near the epicenter as well as the death of approximately 600 people. In this research, we will study the behavior, geodetic and mathematical, of the permanent stations of the GNSS system network of continuous monitoring of Ecuador (REGME), which are constantly affected by physical phenomena that affect their position in time. For this study, consult the stochastic behavior of time series of stations near the epicenter prepared with positioning data in the GNSS stations. The information corresponds to the data in RINEX format of observations available before and after the seismic event in observation intervals every 30 seconds recorded in each of the GNSS stations considered.
