Evaluación de Efectividad de Manejo del área de custodia de la Asociación de Recolectores de Mariscos y Afines “24 de octubre” en la provincia de El Oro.

Abstract

This work is done with the purpose of knowing the current management status of the Association of October 24 and thus provide information and know the degree of compliance with the objectives of these areas delivered through Sustainable Use Agreement and Custody of the Mangrove.

For the Evaluation of Management Effectiveness, the reference framework of Hockings and the methodology of Evaluation and Rapid Prioritization of Management of Protected Areas (RAPPAM) of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) were used as a basis.

The results obtained are framed in a level III of 65%, which suggests that there is satisfactory management.
