Elementos connotativos en las ilustraciones de las obras “Mi libro” y “Porque existes tú” de Eulalia Cornejo, ilustradora ecuatoriana contemporánea

Abstract

Analyze the connotations images of works "My Book" of the Ecuadorian writer Soledad Cordova and "Because you exist" of contemporary Ecuadorian illustrator Eulalia Cornejo is the main objective of this research, because through these books understand the nexus albums between text and image, and that motivate the young reader to dream, live, internalize and externalize their feelings, experiences and values. The illustrations as current tool lead to child reader to fantastic worlds which promotes the love of reading. Similarly to interpret the images of these albums books one can understand that reading helps to avoid stress, depression, anger, attitudes; which at present they are very common; projecting us into a world of pleasure, delight, emotions, as the reader becomes the co-creator of the work. In general connotations are implicit messages locked in the illustrations, signs, symbols to be decoded by the reader little, they encourage their critical, independent and creative personality.
