Abstract

In this research the study of children characters was done in the novel El sueño y la lluvia by Jorge Dávila Vazquez. The importance of the presence of children in the development of the plot of the novel is explained by a detailed analysis of the events of the play, the narrative approach and study the perspectives under which the novel makes sense. Jorge Davila represents the spirit of children through the structuring of characters that steal the plot of the novel. This situation is achieved through a simple and elegant style of expression, as well as physical treatment and psychological. Along the protagonist there are children of different social conditions, each one with special characteristics in a world full of color. In the novel perfectly converges the youthful fantasy, the reality of the country and the special characteristics of the dream world experienced by Rodrigo. All these factors explain the essence of El sueño y la lluvia as a child and youth novel.
