Abstract

The human imagination knows no bounds, and through the literature we can recreate imaginary and wonderful worlds that make us dream and live a full life. In this research the narrative works of the Ecuadorian writer Edna Iturralde, where we especially focus on the construction of the character will be analyzed. We also discuss the resources they use the writer and the value representing the characters to our culture and society. This research is based on analysis of narratology, to identify and characterize the characters, their contributions not only in the narrative universe, but also in the cultural field to which it refers. In this analysis the aesthetic dimension narrative of the author, the significance and importance that has come to reach Ecuadorian literature displays.
