Abstract

The crime scene is a place where an incident may be a crime, that’s the reason why every criminal investigation almost always begins at the crime scene, so when there isn’t a proper fixation or recollection of the evidence found in that place, all the research turns out complicated, so it is important that the personnel involved in processing the crime scene have the necessary knowledge based on theoretical preparation and experience, because every crime scene requires the application of appropriate scientific technical interventions. That is why, all of the incidents or the evidence gathered at the crime scene must be preserved in a chain of custody, which is the procedure of control that is carried out on the material evidence found in the investigation, and that may have a significant evidentiary function, so if the evidence is contaminated, altered or modified, it may mislead the judge because of the inaccuracy of the information collected at the place under investigation
