Abstract

Abstract:This study provides information on the History of Radio in Quito twentieth century, allowing physically locate and identify literature sources; through the qualitative method that lets you see and compare data, embodied in matrices allowing the status of art. Much of the history; the beginnings and evolution of radio in the city of Quito was determined with literature, characters relevant information and statistics provided by government institutions related to broadcasting. The relationship and importance of the media and radios that frequently appeared in AM and FM are evident in tables and graphs that facilitate their understanding. It is concluded that the study of broadcasting is closely linked to the Quito society and monitoring processes feedback and interaction with the media and the public to be social, cultural and political actors. As such, it is recommended to collect information from testimonies of key characters, as well it would bring to the reconstruction of the history of broadcasting nationwide.
