Análisis del uso de la tecnología en los estudiantes de la Universidad del Azuay

Abstract

This research emerged from the topic "Analysis of psychosocial variables The research work focuses on applying theories of data mining for analysis of the uses of the Internet, students at the University of Azuay, where a set was obtained and valid data to identify the use of technology in information Ecuadorian universities. The results show that the household income of students is medium socioeconomic status in most respondents; knowledge in the use of Internet is at a high level, although this is not often used to learn, but to entertain. The students surveyed were classified according to their Internet usage habits in two groups related to learning; entertainment and academic performance, defining them as: high and low use of the Internet for learning and entertainment, high academic achievers and low. By binary logistic regression hypotheses are tested, determining that the income does not affect the use of the Internet to learn and / or entertaining; and that academic achievement is not altered by these uses.
