| Abstract: | This research work pretend to determine the global survival to 5-year in patients with invasive cancer of the digestive system diagnosed during the period 2006- 2007 at the Institute of Fight Against Cancer Center of Loja SOLCA through review of medical records It is a descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective study, which involve and study some variables. The 5-year survival of patients with invasive cancer of the digestive system diagnosed in 2006-2007, is obtained by using Kaplan Meier curves. Is obvious that the survival increases when it is in early stages, on the other hand survival decreases when it is in advanced stages of the disease. The death cause of patients is because of a relapse of the disease in 100%. Concluding that survival of invasive cancer in the digestive system varies between different types of cancer and clinical stage at the time of diagnosis. |
| Description: | El presente trabajo de investigativo pretende determinar la supervivencia global a 5 años en los pacientes con cáncer invasivo del sistema digestivo diagnosticados durante el periodo 2006- 2007 en el Instituto de Lucha Contra el Cáncer SOLCA Núcleo de Loja mediante revisión de Historias Clínicas Es un tipo de estudio descriptivo, transversal y retrospectivo, que estudia algunas variables. La supervivencia a los 5 años de los pacientes con cáncer invasivo del sistema digestivo diagnosticados en el 2006-2007 se obtiene al utilizar las curvas de Kaplan Meier. Es evidente que la supervivencia aumenta cuando se encuentro en estadios tempranos y por el contrario la supervivencia disminuye cuando se encuentra en etapas tardías de la enfermedad. La causa de la muerte de los pacientes se debe a una recaída de la enfermedad en un 100%. Llegando a la conclusión de que la supervivencia del cáncer invasivo del sistema digestivo varía entre los diferentes tipos de cáncer y el estadio clínico al momento del diagnóstico |
