Los ecuatorianismos como elementos de la identidad cultural y social en el ámbito educativo

Abstract

Abstract: This research project has as objective to determine how the ecuatorianismos constitute elements of socio-cultural identity, especially in the field of education. Research theoretically frame the subject of study, in our case the language, idioms and their undoubted relationship with the socio-cultural identity. To complete this approach abstract a survey was conducted in the province of Cotopaxi, in canton Latacunga, where it was applied a questionnaire composed of 7 questions for each word and addressed to 30 Ecuadorians, whose ages ranged between 18 and 67 years. To be able to analyze the data in a logical manner and objectively the respondents were distributed in age ranges and in categories (professional and non-professional). As a research tool was used the interview that contained 40 Ecuadorian words in order to establish the level of knowledge, meaning and frequency of use, validity, profile, level of the word, geographic location and representativeness that these words had to respondents. Finally, proposal is made didactic-pedagogical use of ecuatorianismos in the field of education, through the incentive for the development of reports that encourage writing skills, reading and creativity in the students.
