Abstract

The research has been carried out on Leadership and values ​​management in the educational center Pensionado "Olivo" during the academic year 2011 - 2012. Education at the present time requires a special attention to the emergence of several paradigms and models that outline a certain Conception and definition of pedagogy that serves as a guideline for the application in each of the educational processes. Teachers face the multiplicity of theories assumed little of each of them and as you put them into practice are intermixed. Contemporary theorists have considered as a starting point the psychology for the creation of new forms of education based on human behavior, as time passes the new school emerges that begins at the end of the nineteenth century, among other pedagogies are behaviorists, incorporated By Lev Vigosky, Jean Piaget, Ausubel. Around these theoretical aspects the education curriculum is analyzed, to analyze later its practice, and within Ecuadorian politics it is assumed that education constitutes one of the key instruments for the development of a country. From the results obtained from the managers there is a concordance in each one of their answers, however in the taken to the teachers there are several inconsistencies in relation to the application of educational models that do not agree with each other, of the same educational center , With respect to their educational practice agree with the students regarding their updating but differ in the help that they wish to receive from the teachers in face of their family and academic problems. The proposal is based on the data obtained from the interview and the survey, to train teachers, students and parents in support and control activities for the academic improvement of students.
