Abstract

Abstract: This research tells us about: "Relation between the problematic use of the ICT, the consumption of substances and its impact in the mental health in students of secondary studies of Ecuador. The objective of the research is to analyze the relationship between, the consumption of substances, the use of ICT, social support and indicators of mental health in students of zone 9, in the 17D02 district of 17D02C03, 17D02C01 and 17D02CE01 circuits. The used methodology was exploratory, descriptive and transversal being realized in three educational centers a tax school, a subsidized private school and a private school, taking a sample in students of first and second high school. It has been used in the investigation eight questionnaires 1) Socio demographic survey, 2) Questionnaire of use of ICT, 3) CERM, 4) CERI, 5) IGD-20 Internet gaming test, 6) Consumption of Substances, 7) Social Support, 8) SM's Indicators. The results showed us how the low level of social support influences in a significant way in the consumption of substances and the use of ICT of students surveyed.
