Abstract

Due to the difficult political situation in our country and considering the need for the province of Loja to support agricultural development, especially in the canton of Zapotillo, which for decades has been forgotten by the central powers, Has been presenting the phenomenon of unproductivity due to the lack of irrigation of the lands and due to the fact that climatic and atmospheric conditions are not adequate for the development of vegetation, for this reason the Ecuadorian State has been in need of Construction of the Zapotillo Irrigation Channel. The Zapotillo Irrigation Channel is the largest irrigation project in the province of Loja, which is already providing a great benefit to this region with the generation of important sources of work. • The purpose of the Irrigation Channel is to capture the waters of the Catamayo River and to conduct them through a channel of transfer of approximately 14 km of length towards the Alamor river basin, to irrigate an extensive area located in the left and right margins of the river And right bank of the Catamayo-Chira river through several channels of conduction
